Cheque Score
Cheque Score is available only for cheques issued by UAE banks.
The Cheque Score is an indicator that does not disclose any confidential information and hence a consent is not required.
Knowing the probability of a cheque to bounce is a critical information that Cheque Score can provide upfront supporting the receiver to make more informed decision on whether to accept a cheque or not as a method of payment.
As a cheque receiver, you will be able to set reminders on the due date of the cheque. In addition, you can send kind reminder to the cheque issuer directly from the app.
The Cheque Score is calculated using a complex algorithm based on modern predictive analytics methodologies considering not only cheques, but also the vast information available in the credit profile of Etihad Credit Bureau database and compares it to the information available for all other cheques issued in credit history and behavior of individuals or companies in the UAE.
It will help you to keep track of your received cheques and the monitor due date in chronological order while marking each cheque status as clear, partially cleared, bounced or cancelled.
Your Cheque Score PDF will always be sent to your registered email address. In case you did not receive your PDF report, please call 800-BUREAU (800-287328) to register a service request.
You can only trigger one reminder to the cheque issuer and only in the week before the due date. This reminder will be delivered to the issuer through SMS / Email at the mobile number /email address as per the available data in the Etihad Credit Bureau database.
It is not possible for our system to retrieve all the necessary information to calculate the Cheque Score If the IBAN is not submitted to Etihad Credit Bureau from the bank.
In order to calculate a Cheque Score, we require a minimum period of credit history, cheque clearing data and some additional conditions.
