Our Story
2010
Foundation Laid
The year 2010 marked a significant turning point in the UAE's financial landscape with the release of the federal law on credit information. This law paved the way for a more transparent and responsible credit market.
2012
Etihad Credit Bureau Emerges
Taking the vision forward, 2012 witnessed the establishment of the Etihad Credit Bureau. This dedicated entity was entrusted with an important role of collecting and maintaining credit information for individuals and businesses in the UAE.
2014
First Credit Report Generated
In 2014, a milestone was achieved with the generation of the first Credit Report This report provided individuals and businesses with a comprehensive overview of their credit history, enabling them to make informed decisions regarding loans, credit cards, and other financial products.
2017
First Credit Scores
The year 2017 saw another critical advancement with the introduction of the first credit score. This numerical representation of creditworthiness not only empowered individuals by providing them with a clearer understanding of their credit standing, but it also offered substantial benefits to lenders.
2018
Digital Revolution
Recognizing the importance of accessibility, 2018 marked the launch of digital channels for Etihad Credit Score. This innovation allowed individuals to conveniently access their credit reports and scores online through the mobile and web App, removing geographical barriers and fostering financial inclusivity.
2022
A New Dimension
Etihad Credit Bureau introduced a groundbreaking innovation: the Cheque Score. This tool provides a unique assessment of the likelihood of a cheque clearing, empowering individuals and businesses to make informed decisions regarding cheque acceptance.
